Twitter vice president of global public policy and corporate philanthropy Colin Crowell is leaving the social network after eight years.
Crowelll said in a series of tweets that he will wind down the next few months at Twitter, and then spend time with his family. He did not indicate any future plans.
CEO Jack Dorsey thanked Crowell in a tweet, and legal, policy and trust and safety lead Vijaya Gadde added in a tweet of his own, “We’ll miss your passion, humanity, humor and friendship. You leave an incredible legacy here, and a team that is worthy of it. We look forward to your next chapter.”
Twitter declined further comment.
Crowell wrote in his tweets, “It’s been an honor to have built and supported a public policy team that’s now the best in the industry. We’ve managed to create a world-class approach to our work and an inspiring public interest advocacy structure within Twitter. Having spent most of the past eight years at 35,000 feet—or in incredible places that are not my home—I’m looking forward to winding down at Twitter over the next few months and then kicking back, relaxing a bit and enjoying time with my family.”
